WHAT WE CARE ABOUT

The areas we focus on and celebrate during our dog walks.

We are here to ensure the pack dynamic is fun, playful, safe and controlled.

These focus areas are what dogs will experience during our walks.

In our one-one-one assessments we look for your dogs ability to demonstrate certain responses, this is to ensure they are a good fit and are put into the right pack dynamic..

Positively reinforce

Dogs respond best to positive reinforcement of desired behaviour. This is something we reinforce and celebrate through positively reinforcing and responding to your dogs drivers; food, play, and/or affection.

Stimulate

Stimulating the body and the mind in a rich environment full of new sights, smells, noises, and different personalities, is a huge priority at Pooched. Brenna will take your dog's pack on an adventure that will leave each dog feeling tired not only in their body but also in their mind.

Recall

We require a certain level of recall in order for dogs to attend off leash adventures. This isn't just knowing their name but the action that follows when their name is called.

Drive

How your dog responds to food, action, smells, play, and affection.

We discover your dogs main drivers through play, treats and love, so we can positively reinforce your dog during our outings. Making for a fun playful, safe and controlled environment.

Socialise

In a pack environment where dogs are able to roam; stimulating their bodies and minds, they also get the opportunity to socialise one another. When you have a pack of dogs it's important to know that bad behaviours can be taught and transferred depending on the pack dynamic. We ensure dogs are playing in a fun and safe way that encourages the whole pack to confidently explore their environments and other dogs.

PACK LEADER: BRENNA MCGUINNESS

Hi I'm Brenna! I have over 1000 pack walks (over 4 years) under my belt. All Pooched walkers are trained by me to confidently support and care for your pooches while they are out adventuring with their pack mates each week.

All staff are trained in canine first aid through Pet First Aid Training NZ and are taken through Council regulations.

We also bring a serious passion for capturing videos and photos of your dog, meaning you will receive not only a tired and happy dog but a well documented one during their outdoor pack adventure with Pooched.

Currently taking bookings for in person meet and greets- to understand if our off-leash adventures are the right fit for your dog.
